The Bigg Boss OTT fame Urfi Javed has been the talk of the town ever since her stint on the reality show and her fashion choices afterwards. The actor credits the Karan Johar-hosted show for boosting her confidence during her brief stay in the house. In an interview with Times of India, she opened up about her life in and after Bigg Boss OTT, the reason why she ran away from her house, her suicidal thoughts and how she was conned by a producer.

The Meri Durga actor isn't experiencing much difference in her life after her appearance in the popular show. However, she said the show helped her boost her confidence and deal with trolls and negative comments. She said she doesn't feel scared and the negative comments do not affect her anymore. "They know Urfi Javed as someone who wears weird clothes and let’s troll her for it. I am just keeping people busy. These trolls do not bother me," she said.

The TV actor also spoke about how she did not have any option, other than running away from her house at a young age to become an actor. Hailing from a conservative family, Urfi said that she got lucky that she got an opportunity to run away from her house, unlike many young girls who are only told to learn household chores and get married. She said her family was no different. She had to take up jobs, big or small, that came along her way, to survive as she had no money and set an example for other young girls. "I was from a conservative Muslim family where they only think about their daughters getting married. I was not supposed to talk in front of males and had to be fully clothed, from head to toe. That made me a rebel. I became a rebel because I was suppressed a lot," she shared with the portal.

Urfi always wanted to be an actor but she thought her dream would never come true as she belonged to a conservative family. She realised her dreams only after she left her house. "I haven’t done anything great till now as far as acting is concerned. I believe I am a good actor and I am waiting for an opportunity. I really want a chance to prove my worth," she said. She also added that she continues to face rejections even now. She has also been replaced on several TV shows. However, she said she learned to gradually accept that she suit the requirements of every role.

Despite all the challenges, she kept going as she said she had no other option. It was the necessity to survive that kept her going. "Till date I’ve no plan B. I don’t think I would have been alive if I had not become an actress," she said.
