Bigg Boss OTT has been the talk of the ‘OTT town’ ever since its first look and concept was announced to the public. The popular reality show has sparked several controversies, the recent being the former Bigg Boss contestant and singer Suyyash Rai calling filmmaker-host Karan Johar a ‘loser’.
Irked with the tete-a-tete-turned-spat between filmmaker-host Karan Johar and the contestant Divya Agarwal on the Sunday Ka Vaar episode, the singer expressed his support for Divya on his Instagram handle. Attaching a picture of Karan Johar on his TV screen, the singer lashed out at Karan Johar, claiming him to have ‘lost the plot’. He added that Karan should remember that he isn’t Salman Khan and he should ‘try talking sense’. Pinpointing on the instance of the Sunday Ka Vaar when Karan had raised his voice at Divya for speaking in ‘wrong tone’ with him, Suyyash termed Karan a ‘loser’ and asked him to check his tone next time before he ‘expects others to speak nicely’ to him. He rounded off his post by blasting Karan for being ‘partial’ towards Shamita Shetty. Tagging Karan in the post, Suyyash, who was part of Bigg Boss season 9 wrote, "Filmein banao, wahin tak theek hai."
The controversial Sunday Ka Vaar episode had Karan try to talk it out with Divya, displeased and upset with her repeated mentions of the director in unflattering contexts. He reminded her that there’s always a difference in powerplay between him and her as he is the host, and she is a contestant in the game. He also mentioned the instance when the reality show star took both his and Salman Khan’s name, that she should respect both his and Big Boss’ diktats and realise that he and Salman Khan command respect in all walks of life. To Divya’s apologies for her behaviour, Karan asked her to take lessons and move on. The conversation-turned spat also touched upon the subject of him being partial to contestant Shamita Shetty, to which Karan said that despite knowing Shamita for a long time as they are from the same industry, he is a ‘fair host.’
