Karan Johar opened up about the time when he had anxiety attacks and was getting treated for the same.
Karan Johar made a big revelation on the Bigg Boss OTT Sunday Ka Vaar episode. The filmmaker-host happened to spill that he has gone through anxiety attacks.
While teaching a contestant Zeeshan Khan a lesson, the filmmaker told the actor that he might not know what anxiety attacks can do to a person but the host understands the situation better because he has gone through the treatments.
Telling Zeeshan that people need to show compassion and understanding in that situation, Karan confessed going to a psychologist and being on medication for three years.
Stating about how Zeeshan has made fun of the situation, Karan said that the situation disturbed him as someone who has been through and sees people suffering from mental health issues and anxiety.

The host thinks that people are using it as a pop culture phenomena both inside and outside the house. Karan says it depresses and saddens him to see the situation. He asks people to not talk about it if they don't know what anxiety is. He reminds everyone that there are people who go through this on a daily basis.
Karan Johar is not the first person to talk about his mental health being affected. Bollywood actress Deepika Padukone had started the conversation years back when she revealed at an event that she too was depressed for some time and was receiving treatment for her mental well-being.
