Bigg Boss OTT: Shamita gets emotional after receiving a video message from sister Shilpa Shetty

Shamita Shetty gets a big surprise from her sister Shilpa Shetty on the sets of Bigg Boss OTT. The actor was in an absolute shock and had a breakdown when Shilpa sent her a video message on Raksha Bandhan. Hina Khan, a former contestant, had appeared on the show with messages from the contestants’ siblings. Shilpa came on screen to share her Raksha Bandhan message for Shamita where she asserted that even though they did not have a brother, the two of their bonds are very strong and they will always have each other’s back, no matter what. This left Shamita in tears, missing her family.

Shamita who was a previous contestant on the platform entered the Karan Johar hosted show in the midst of the ongoing legal battle against her brother-in-law Raj Kundra. Shamita stated that it was an important step for her as she wants to build her own identity and not be known as Shilpa’s sister.

She also said that she had a very difficult journey for 20-25 years in the industry, but she is more confident now than ever before. She further said people still know her as Shilpa Shetty’s sister that’s been overshadowing her identity and that people don’t know the real Shamita.

Shamita had a big clash recently with one of the contestants and choreographer Nishant Bhat, after which she is seen cribbing about facing a ‘class’ divide in the house and even the world outside the Bigg Boss house. Shamita is one of the participants of the celebrity reality show streaming on digital platforms.
