Bigg Boss Tamil 5 promo: A hospitalised Kamal Haasan introduces Ramya Krishnan to the housemates

We recently got the unfortunate news that Kamal Haasan was hospitalised due to COVID-19. Various reports also speculated that Ramya Krishnan is replacing him as the host of Bigg Boss Tamil 5. She is indeed hosting the show temporarily. It was confirmed when the makers of the reality show shared a promo of the Vikram star introducing the Baahubali star to the sets of the show.

The new promo featured Kamal Haasan joining the sets of the reality show virtually and addressing the housemates via video call. While everyone wished the Ulaga Nayagan a speedy recovery, the actor shared with them about Ramya Krishnan taking over as the new host in his absence. Referring to her as his Thozhi (friend), the actor was seen welcoming the Baahubali star to the stage. The new clip featured the actress entering the stage in an elegant glimmering saree

This is not the first time the actress has hosted a controversial reality show. She also has experience in hosting the weekend episode of Bigg Boss Telugu 4 in the absence of Nagarjuna.

Fans are now excited to see what the veteran beauty has in store for them in the upcoming episodes.

Kamal Haasan earlier tested positive for COVID-19 when he returned from the US after promoting his Khadi brand ‘House of Khadder’. He was hospitalised, post which speculation began of whether daughter and actress Shruti Haasan would take over as the host until his recovery. Well, now we all know who will be from the latest promo.
