Bigg Boss Tamil fame Kavin forays into web series, titled Akashvani

Actor Kavin of Bigg Boss Tamil fame, who gained a lot of fans overnight, thanks to his stint in the reality show, surprised fans by announcing that he has signed for a web series, which has been titled Aakashvaani. The project took off with an official ceremony on Monday. Reba Monica John of Bigil fame has been paired opposite Kavin in the series which will be directed by Enoc Able. He was previously working with director Atlee in Raja Rani, Theri, Mersal and Bigil. The other cast of Akashvani includes Sharath Ravi, Deepak Paramesh and Abitha Venkat. The cinematography and editing of the series will be handled by Santhakumar Chakravarthy and Kalaivanan R respectively and Guna Balasubramanian will be composing tunes for the series, which will be bankrolled by Kaustubha Mediaworks.

Talking about the series, the director said that its story which touches upon romance and relationships and the realistic dialogues will be primary attractions.

Reba Monica was recently featured in the music video, Kutty Pattas, along with Ashwin Kumar (of Cooku with Comali fame). She is currently awaiting the release of Vishnu Vishal’s FIR.

Meanwhile, the shooting of Kavin’s much-awaited movie, Lift, starring Amritha Aiyer as the female lead, was wrapped up last year and the team is busy with its post-production. The makers had released a single from the movie recently. Interestingly, Kavin had donned the hat of an associate director in Nelson’s upcoming movies, Sivakarthikeyan-starrer Doctor and Vijay-starrer Beast.
