Singer Gana Bala is the latest to leave the seventh edition of the popular reality show Bigg Boss Tamil. The singer was evicted from the house on the weekend episodes. It is to be noted that Gana Bala was a wildcard entry, along with Anna Bharathi, Dinesh, VJ Bravo and Archana.

The announcement of Gana Bala's name came as a surprise to many. The singer, on hearing his name, during the eviction remained calm and composed as ever. He handed over the mutual funds box to Raveena, who became a tad emotional ahead of his exit. He also advised the housemates to make the most of the opportunity they have been given and wished them all the best. The composer left the house on high.
While conversing with Kamal Haasan, Gana Bala said that the house has been a lot of learning. Earlier, he had planned to retire around 60, as he was already 54. But after being in the house, he has decided to work as long as he can, no matter the age. Kamal Haasan was quite impressed by the statement.
When Gana Bala suprised the audience with his educational qualifictaions
Before the entry, singer Gana Bala took everyone by surprise when he revealed that he was a law graduate. The singer said that he had pursued MSc in Botany from Presidency College, Chennai. He was also the Vice Chairman of the college during the year 1991-1992. He added that he had also done BL from Madurai Law College.
Kamal Haasan then quipped that his name Bala was an abbreviation of Bachelors in Law. To which Gana Bala said that he was the first to say that. Gana Bala had also contested the Chennai Corporation election thrice and in 2006, he lost the election by mere 350 votes.

Gana Bala rose to prominence after the song Aadi Pona Aavani and Nadukadalula Kappala from Pa Ranjith's debut film Attakathi. He later went on to sing some popular numbers including Kaasu Panam, Kaakidha Kappal and Adhaaru Udhaaru to name a few. He is also a popular lyricist.
