We had earlier reported that the Tamil reality show Bigg Boss Tamil is back for the ninth season. Actor Vijay Sethupathi who hosted the previous season, will be returning as host. It was announced on Saturday that Bigg Boss Tamil will kickstart from October 5. Fans of the show can watch it on JioHotstar via OTTplay Premium.

Bigg Boss has always been a favourite reality show and found success when done in each regional language. Likewise, in Tamil too, Bigg Boss found audience and eight seasons have been over. Now, the ninth season is all set to begin from October 5, it was announced officially. Vijay Sethupathi will be serving as the anchor of the show.
On October 5, Sunday, the grand launch of Bigg Boss Tamil season 9 will take place, which means Vijay Sethupathi will take a tour around the new house, its facilities, and also introduce the new set of housemates who will compete. What is Bigg Boss Tamil show all about?
Following the same pattern as other versions of the game, the show will feature a group of contestants (usually small-screen celebrities and actors) who live inside the Bigg Boss house for 100 days. During this course, they are given physical and mental tasks, along with being observed by the audience on how they co-exist with each other. Each week, one contestant is evicted out of the show, based on the housemates and audience poll.
Kamal Haasan had hosted the first seven seasons of the show. However, after citing his cinematic and political commitments, he stepped down. Ever since the eight season, Vijay Sethupathi is anchoring the show. The last season concluded earlier this year. All the seasons are streaming on JioHotstar.
