Bigg Buzz Exclusive! BB 16’s Shalin Bhanot: We copy Salman Khan; if he mimics my actions, it makes me happy on the inside

Shalin Bhanot was mocked by host Salman Khan on Bigg Boss 16 more often than not. The actor became a laughing stock, literally. However, he chooses to believe that seeing Salman mock him is an achievement.

After Bigg Boss 16 grand finale, Shalin made his entry on Bigg Buzz with Krushna Abhishek. There, he spoke about how he was treated in the house and got scolded by Salman constantly, especially with actions that Shalin did in the house.

Shalin at first refused to accept his actions on the show. He said, “I don't understand what these gestures are that everyone keeps doing to mimic me. I don't recall if I ever did it in the show.”

The actions became popular ever since Tina Datta had re-entered Bigg Boss 16. Ever since, Shalin has done actions with his hands every time he was left confused about situations.

Nonetheless, Shalin was happy that Salman Khan was copying him. This is because actors tend to copy superstars like Salman and Shah Rukh Khan. “We as actors copy superstars like Shah Rukh Khan and Salman Khan, so when I saw Salman sir copying that gesture of mine on national television, apart from all the scolding I got, I felt really happy on the inside seeing that,” Shalin added.

Shalin made it to top five. He was the fourth runner-up on the show. Shalin was the first to get out on the day of the grand finale. He feels that while he may come across as confident, Shalin wasn’t and instead underestimated him throughout the show.

The actor had faced issues with Bigg Boss 16 winner MC Stan in the house but he feels that the rapper deserved the award. Shalin called Stan very kind-hearted and someone who keeps to himself. Having worked hard, Shalin feels Stan deserved to win the show.

Shalin was offered two projects during his journey on Bigg Boss 16. He got to become the first contestant on Rohit Shetty’s Khatron Ke Khiladi 13. However, Shalin put that down because he’s terrified of snakes and crocodiles. The actor now has one project – playing the lead role in Ekta Kapoor’s Bekaboo.
