There is plenty of content to be released on OTT platforms for the month of April. From French action thrillers to Malayalam period dramas, there are exciting releases for you to sink your teeth into this weekend. So for today’s List hai toh hit hai we have curated a list of eight titles that you cannot miss.

AKA - Netflix - 28th April | French

Directed by Morgan S. Dalibert, the French crime thriller revolves around a special ops agent who infiltrates an organised crime syndicate. However, things get complicated when he inadvertently befriends the son of the crime boss. Alban Lenoir essays the lead as Adam Franco and also features Manchester United legend and former captain Eric ‘The King’ Cantona in a prominent role.

Before Life After Death - Netflix - 28th April | Hindi

Veteran documentary and short film director Anshul Tiwari’s Before Life After Death tells the story of a couple of Singaporeans of Indian origin. The film follows a rebellious student Gauri who forms an unlikely bond with a middle-aged gynaecologist Radhika after both women endure life-altering incidents. Gauraangi Chopra essays the role of Gauri, while Namita Lal plays Radhika.

Peter Pan & Wendy - Disney+ Hotstar - 28th April | English

The latest remake of the classic children's tale of Peter Pan is helmed by David Lowery. The plot follows a young boy named Peter Pan who refuses to grow and embarks on a magical journey along with his brothers and Wendy. The film stars Alexander Molony as Peter and Ever Anderson as Wendy.

Thuramukham - Sony LIV - 28th April | Malayalam

Acclaimed filmmaker Rajeev Ravi’s directorial, Thuramukham tells the story of the protests against the 'chappa' system in the 1950s practised at the Cochin Harbour. The film follows the protests against the barbaric system – a system where copper coins would be thrown at those who wished to work on a daily basis, and the ones who managed to grab the coins would be allowed to work. The film stars Nivin Pauly, Indrajith Sukumaran, Poornima Indrajith, Nimisha Sajayan, Joju George, Sudev Nair, and Darshana Rajendran in prominent roles.

U Turn - Zee5 - 28th April | Hindi

The horror thriller U Turn follows a young journalist, played by Alaya F, who decides to investigate the mysterious deaths of motorists who take an illegal U-turn at a flyover. But things take a turn for the worse when she becomes the prime suspect responsible for these deaths. The film is directed by Arif Khan in his directorial debut.

Ved - Disney+ Hotstar - 28th April | Marathi

Bollywood star Riteish Deshmukh stars in the lead opposite his real-life spouse Genelia D'Souza in this romantic drama. Directed by Deshmukh himself, the film narrates the story of an ex-cricketer named Satya who was framed for match-fixing and ended up separating from his girlfriend, and he eventually becoming an alcoholic. Several years later Satya, who is married to another woman is unable to move on from his ex. The Marathi film also stars Raviraj Kande, Ashok Saraf, and Jiya Shankar in supporting roles.

Vyavastha - Zee5- 28th April | Telugu

Anand Ranga, who is best known for helming the Siddharth film Oy! has directed the Telugu series Vyavastha. The series stars Kamna Jethmalani, Karthik Rathnam, Sampath Raj, and Hebah Patel in prominent roles. It is a courtroom drama about a ruthless lawyer whose authority is contested by his boss’s son, who is a recently graduated lawyer.

Winter Boy - Mubi - 28th April | French

The French film Winter Boy tells the story of a gay teenager who is forced to deal with the death of his father in a car accident. In addition to coping with his sexuality while in high school he is also faced with the question of whether his father died by suicide. The film is directed by Christophe Honoré and stars Paul Kircher in the lead role.
