Indhuja Ravichandran has been roped in to play the female lead opposite Dhanush in Naane Varuven, helmed by his brother and filmmaker Selvaraghavan. The pre-production work of the upcoming movie is currently in full swing, with the film likely to go on floors in November.
According to a Chennai Times report, Dhanush has a double role in the film, with Indhuja paired opposite one of his characters. Naane Varuven has created quite a buzz since Dhanush and Selvaraghavan announced their collaboration. Although it was initially expected to take off in the second half of 2020, the pandemic and the actor’s other acting commitments delayed its start.
Selvaraghavan has also been held up with certain projects, ever since he donned the acting hat. The filmmaker-actor is expected to be seen in an intriguing avatar in Keerthy Suresh’s Saani Kaayadham and Thalapathy Vijay’s Beast, in which he has been roped in to play one of the antagonists.
The filmmaker also recently announced his intention to make a sequel to Aayirathil Oruvan, with an aesthetic first look poster that he posted on social media. This movie will also star Dhanush in the lead in the role of a Chozha prince.
Indhuja Ravichandran earlier appeared in movies like Magumani and Bigil, for which her performance was appreciated. She will next be seen in the upcoming cop drama Khaki, which stars Vijay Antony in the lead.
