Bison, the recently released Tamil film directed by Mari Selvaraj, might have had a slow start at the box office, but it has steadily conquered by making a slow and steady run on the big screens. The Dhruv Vikram-starrer has already crossed the Tamil Nadu box office collection of Vikram’s 2025 film Veera Dheera Sooran: Part 2, with Bison soon to take over the latter’s lifetime collection in a few days.

It might indeed be a proud moment for actor Vikram, whose son and actor Dhruv Vikram’s latest film Bison Kaalamaadan, has just surpassed Veera Dheera Sooran: Part 2, which released earlier this year, at the Tamil Nadu box office collection.
According to Sacnilk, Bison Kaalamaadan has made Rs 42.66 crore in Tamil Nadu, racing past Vikram's Veera Dheera Sooran: Part 2, which had made Rs 40.95 crore in the state. Further numbers also hint that Bison will take over the lifetime collection of the Vikram film in no time. Given Veera Dheera Sooran: Part 2 collected Rs 65 crore worldwide, and Bison is nearly there with Rs 62 crore, it will be very soon that Dhruv Vikram will surpass his father's latest film.

Bison is currently running in theatres, with its post-theatrical streaming rights bagged by Netflix. The streaming platform is yet to announce the OTT release date. Written and directed by Mari Selvaraj, and starring Dhruv Vikram in the lead role, supported by Pasupathy, Ameer, Lal, Anupama Parameswaran and Rajisha Vijayan among others, it is a sports drama based on the life of kabaddi player Manathi Ganesan.
