The trailer of Bison Kaalaamadan, the upcoming Tamil film starring actor Dhruv Vikram in the lead role, was released by the makers on social media on Monday. The film is all set for Diwali release on October 17.

Bison is an upcoming Tamil film and one of the three Diwali releases this week. The film is headlined by Dhruv Vikram and is written and directed critically acclaimed filmmaker Mari Selvaraj. Ahead of the film’s release, the trailer is now out.
The trailer begins with the sounds of a goat, and see the animal at a black and white landscape. It is 1990 and southern of Tamil Nadu. We see young boys playing kabbadi, and later Dhruv Vikram who is seen playing with young boys. The trailer then shifts to some violent conflicts, and other characters come onscreen. Pasupathy plays Dhruv's father who asks his son to promise into not playing the sport again. The cuts do not reveal the conflict, but we see how kabaddi plays an important aspect in the film, and Dhruv goes all extent to embrace the sport.
Bison is a sports drama, which marks the first time Mari Selvaraj is working with Dhruv Vikram. The film is based on kabaddi player, with Dhruv have undergone training under kabaddi player Manathi Ganesan.

Bison is set to release in theatres on October 17, and will hit big screens along with Diesel and Dude. The sports drama, which is expected to be another hard-hitting tale, comes from Mari Selvaraj after Vaazhai, Maamannan, Karnan and Pariyerum Perumal. Bison also stars actors Pasupathy, Ameer, Lal, Anupama Parameswaran, Rajisha Vijayan, Azhagam Perumal, Aruvi Madhan, Anurag Arora, among others. With music by Nivas K Prasanna, and Ezhil Arasu K cranking the camera, the film is edited by Sakthi Thiru. Bison has Pa Ranjith as one of the producers. Netflix has bagged the post-theatrical streaming rights.
