Bison Kaalamaadan, the upcoming Tamil film starring Dhruv Vikram in the lead role and directed by filmmaker Mari Selvaraj, is all set to take over big screens for Diwali in October. While we are still a couple of months away from the release, the first review of the sports drama just dropped.

Bison Kaalamaadan is a sports drama based on kabaddi. The film marks the first time young actor Dhruv Vikram will be collaborating with filmmaker Mari Selvaraj, who has made powerful films so far. The film is scheduled to hit the big screens on October 17 for Diwali.

Ahead of this, the first review of Bison Kaalamaadan is out. Producer Sameer Nair of Applause Entertainment that is backing the film, had watched the director's cut of the film and had words of praise to share. "Just watched the director's cut of Bison Kaalamaadan by Mari Selvaraj- a searing, powerful work of art that left us astounded. This is Mari on (fire emoji). We at applause are so so proud to be producing this bold and brilliant film, releasing this Diwali," the producer was quoted.

The words of cheer have set the expectations for the film up. While Mari is known to craft hard-hitting tales, this will be his first sports film.

What do we know about Bison Kaalamaadan?

Bison Kaalamaadan marks Dhruv Vikram’s comeback after nearly three years since the release of his last film in 2022, Mahaan. Besides Dhruv Vikram, the film also features Anupama Parameswaran, Lal, Pasupathy, Kalaiyarasan, Rajisha Vijayan, Hari Krishnan, Azhagam Perumal and Aruvi Madhan, among others.

Netflix has bagged the post-theatrical rights of the film. The technical crew consists of music scored by Nivas K Prasanna, while the film is shot by Ezhil Arasu K. Edited by Sakthi Thiru, the action choreography is by Dhilip Subbarayan, and art direction by Kumar Gangappan.
