Bison Kaalamaadan, the recently released Tamil sports drama featuring Dhruv Vikram in the lead role, is all set to premiere this week on OTT. As reported earlier, Netflix has bagged the post-theatrical streaming rights of the film and will release on November 21. The sports drama will also be available in Hindi and Telugu as well.

Bison is a sports drama which saw the collaboration between director Mari Selvaraj and actor Dhruv Vikram for the first time. The film released in theatres a month back, and now gearing up for OTT release. Netflix, which has bagged the post-theatrical streaming rights, will release the Tamil film in Telugu and Hindi as well.
Bison, or also called as Bison Kaalamaadan, is written and directed by Mari Selvaraj and follows a young man Kittan’s aspiration to represent his country in kabaddi. However, his path is not that easy given he must fight against the caste oppression and societal prejudice and discrimination to achieve his dreams. The film had opened to positive reviews upon its release, given Dhruv had gone through physical transformation to play Kittan and had worked on his role for four years.

Bison is led by Dhruv Vikram, who features in the lead role, along with acclaimed actors like Pasupathy and Lal. Ameer, Anupama Parameswaran, Rajisha Vijayan and others are also part of the film and play prominent roles in Bison. The music for the film has been scored by Nivas K Prasanna, which is a detour for Mari Selvaraj, who has collaborated with AR Rahman and Santhosh Narayanan for his previous works. Pa Ranjith is one of the producers of Bison.
Meanwhile, Mari Selvaraj is next going to work with Dhanush once again after their successful Karnan. The production for the film is yet to take place. Their film Karnan, which had one both critical acclaim and commercial success is now streaming on Prime Video.
