Biswanath Basu to host a television game show after five years

The promo of the new reality game show Zee Bangla is already out. Earlier, it was reported that Indrani Halder will host the show, Ghare Ghare Zee Bangla. However, she decided to withdraw herself from the show after a few episodes, and Aparajita Adhya, whose Lokkhi Kakima Superstar just got over, replaced her. It is being heard that Biswanath Basu will also join the show. 

Biswanath will anchor a show on the small screen after a long break of five years. Previously, he was seen as the anchor in shows like Fire Asar Gan and Bhyabachyaka 2. The shooting of Ghare Ghare Zee Bangla is in full swing. Biswanath told Anandabazar Online, “I feel good. I always love to mix with people, and I am a chatty person. Even if I stand at a roadside tea shop, I talk to the shop owner. That is why I am excited to do this job.” The episodes which are shot in Kolkata will be hosted by Aparajita. Biswanath will host the shows that will take place in the suburbs. 

According to the show structure, the host will visit a family and do a game show with them at each episode. Stories of the local people will appear in the show. Biswanath shot for some episodes in Ichapur, Shyamnagar, Habra, and Basirhat. He said, “I am from outside Kolkata. From Poush Parban to Itu Pujo, football and carrom competitions, small cultural events, and the nostalgia of a library – all these Bengali flavours are kept intact by the suburbs. I am familiar with these emotions. Hence I love doing this job.”
