Here’s some exciting news for the Marvel fans. There’s more surprises in store for you from the Marvel Cinematic Universe. There will be new characters ruling the screens soon. Yes, you read it right. And, this time it is going to be the Mechanical genius from MIT, Riri Williams who is also the Ironheart. But before the upcoming Disney+ series of the same name, she will be seen making an appearance in the movie Black Panther: Wakanda Forever that is scheduled to release next year. The teen marvel is played by Dominique Thorne who is also the main lead in the Ironheart series.

The president of Marvel Studios Kevin Feige conveyed the news to Comicbook.com regarding the comic-book character Riri Williams appearing in the Black Panther movie. He said, “She started shooting, I think, this week, before her ‘Ironheart’ series.”

Riri Williams’ character was created in 2016 by the writer and artist Michael Bendis and Mike Deodato respectively. According to a Comicbook.com report, she joined MIT when she was 15 and started to design her own Iron Man-like suit in her dorm. Tony Stark/Iron Man comes to know of this and offers her to become the new iron-clad hero.

Four years after Riri’s creation, a series was confirmed on Ironheart that will be streaming on Disney+, with Dominique Thorne playing the character of the mechanical prodigy. There has been no confirmation yet on whether Robert Downey Jr will also have a part in the upcoming series.

The production of Black Panther: Wakanda Forever is currently happening in Atlanta with Ryan Coogler donning the director’s hat for the second time. It is yet to be confirmed on how the sequel is going to proceed without Chadwick Boseman who rocked the character of T’Challa/Black Panther before his demise in 2020. The movie is scheduled to release in July 2022, where Danai Gurira, Letitia Wright, Daniel Kaluuya, Winston Duke, Lupita Nyong'o, Florence Kasumba, and Angela Bassett are going to reprise their roles from the first Black Panther movie.
