In a conversation with Deadline's Contenders Film: Los Angeles on Saturday, Ryan Coogler gave a nod to the Black Panther project and also revealed that it is the next movie. "We’re working on it hard. “So it’s next. Yes, it’s the next movie,” he shared in the discussion.

The seasoned director attended the Sinners panel recently and also revealed that he invested his time in the 2025 horror film to offer a cinematic experience to movie lovers. Sinners, featuring Michael B. Jordan in a dual role, premiered in April this year and opened to rave reviews.

“I feel so blessed that at my age, each film that I’ve ever written indirectly has been released theatrically and has been released at some level internationally. And I don’t take that for granted because sitting in the theater was where I fell in love with movies,” the 39-year-old director shared.
