Black Phone 2 is the sequel of the 2021 supernatural film The Black Phone. After garnering fame and success, Scott Derrickson is back with another gripping installment.  Ethan Hawke-starrer Black Phone 2 is slated to hit the theatres on October 17.

Directed by The Black Phone creator Scott Derrickson, the upcoming sequel, Black Phone 2, brings back serial killer Ethan Hawke as the arch villain (The Grabbers). Mason Thames, who was just a teen boy in the first installment, is now grown up. He will be back as the protective elder brother (Finney or Finn), who will be saving his sister Gwen (played by Madeleine McGraw). Miguel Mora and Jeremy Davies also reprise his their roles from the original film. The supporting cast also features Demián Bichir and Arianna Rivas will be joining the cast as part of theb ensemble.

In the trailer, we witness the wicked return of the main antagonist, Gabber as he warns Finn in his terrifying voice that ‘dead is just a word.’ The story of Black Phone 2 centers around Gabber’s return through dreary nightmares and visions. In the first part he was killed by Finn but seems like Gabber has come back beyond the grave (as a ghost) to seek his bloody revenge.

With dark tones and sinister backdrop featuring Finn, his sister and the deadly return of Gabber, the trailer promises to offer a solid return of the horror franchise.
