By the end of 2024, Netflix made sure we entered the new year with excitement as the streaming giant confirmed their first show for 2025. It is none other than Black Warrant, a show from the same creators of the cult-hit Sacred Games for the same streaming platform. Created by Vikramaditya Motwane and Satyanshu Singh, the show is based on a real-life story from Tihar Jail, where a new jailer enters the system, unaware of the challenges he will face. The show is set to release on January 10, and the makers have shared the trailer. Read on to know everything you should about it.

From the creative powerhouse of Vikramaditya Motwane and Satyanshu Singh, who serve as showrunners and directors along with Ambiecka Pandit, Arkesh Ajay, and Rohin Raveendran Nair, Black Warrant promises an unfiltered dive into India’s largest prison. Black Warrant is based on Black Warrant: Confessions of a Tihar Jailer, written by Sunil Gupta and Sunetra Choudhury.
