BLACKPINK Jisoo's Starbucks Instagram post sparks controversy amid global boycott for Palestine

Starbucks has encountered significant criticism due to its inconsistent stance on the ongoing Israel-Gaza conflict, leading to widespread calls for global boycotts. The company has undeniably felt the impact, facing financial losses. Against this backdrop, K-pop idols, many of whom have remained relatively silent on the conflict, found BLACKPINK's Jisoo in the spotlight after she shared a photo on her Instagram story, sparking a substantial backlash.

In the now-deleted post, Jisoo featured her hand holding a Starbucks takeout cup, accompanied by the caption "-11°C." Screenshots swiftly circulated across various social media platforms, with a notable presence on X (formerly known as Twitter), fueling a considerable social media uproar. 

Despite the removal of the post, its existence was sufficient to provoke reactions online. Interestingly, some of Jisoo's fans opted to demonstrate their support by purchasing Starbucks coffees for themselves.

The majority of individuals on social media are now questioning Jisoo's decision to share such content, particularly during a time when a global boycott of Starbucks for Palestine is actively underway.
