Blood of Zeus is loosely based on ancient Greek mythology about human-like gods. The series revolves around the central character, Heron, and his quest to save the world from demonic power.

In the new trailer, we witness the battle getting intense after different powerful forces hatch a plan to undo the injustices and get the rightful place atop the throne. “Merit will decide the new ruler of heaven,” a god-like creature says. What happens in Blood of Zeus season 1?

Season 1 follows the young protagonist, Heron, who lives in ancient Greece. He connects with his secret past as a demigod, an identity that changes his fate forever. His mother, Electra (Mamie Gummer), reveals that Heron is the illegitimate son of the Greek god of sky and thunder, Zeus (Jason O’Mara). The tale of revenge and conflict between interspecies like humans, gods, and demons forms the crux of the story.
