The film is a spin-off to the 2012 film Kahaani, which starred Vidya Balan. The film featured an antagonistic character by the name of Bob Biswas, a hired assassin masquerading as an insurance agent.

The upcoming film will be centred around the titular assassin. The film’s trailer suggests the killer to have suffered from amnesia or memory loss, as he is seen to have forgotten all about his life, including his family and the fact that he is an assassin. Despite his condition, he is called back into ‘work’ yet again and he seems to question whether he ought to be doing it. It remains to be seen if Bob is able to find his way back, that is, if he did lose his way in the first place.
