Ek Badnaam Aashram Season 3 Part 2 is finally landing on MX Player on February 27. The trailer for Bobby Deol's crime thriller series was released recently and it gained a significant buzz among fans. Directed and produced by National Award-winning filmmaker Prakash Jha, the latest installment promises an intense exploration of power, betrayal, and revenge. Amid this, Bobby opened up about the anti-hero character and credited his role in Aashram for booming his career.
During the trailer launch event of Ek Badnaam Aashram Season 3 Part 2, Bobby Deol recalled feeling hesitant to tell his father Dharmendra and brother Sunny Deol about his anti-hero character in the crime-thriller series. He also added that this role came to him when he knew he would not be offered hero roles anymore.
Bobby shared, "As actors, we want to portray characters that are different from us in real life. I was actively seeking out diverse roles when Aashram came my way. I knew I wouldn't be offered hero roles anymore, which is why I didn’t even tell my family about accepting this show. I wanted them to see it first and then react."
The actor added that the subject of Aashram was such that if he had told his parents or his brother (Sunny Deol), they would have questioned him, saying, 'Why are you doing this?"
However, he trusted his wife, who was aware of the struggle to find a compelling role. "She told me, 'Follow your heart. I’m with you,'" he recalled.
The actor revealed that his family’s response to Aashram was very positive.
He said that he felt like he was dreaming. His mom was getting calls from her friends praising the actor's performance.
"Papa (veteran actor Dharmendra) told me that his friends were calling him to appreciate my work. Even Bhaiyya was receiving messages from his friends wanting to connect with me," he recalled.
The trailer for Ek Badnaam Aashram Season 3 Part 2 offers a glimpse into the world within Baba Nirala’s empire. Due to the growing unrest, tensions arise as rifts begin to appear in Nirala's society.
With Bobby Deol reprising his lead role, the series also features Aaditi Pohankar, Darshan Kumaar, Chandan Roy Sanyal, Vikram Kochhar, Tridha Choudhury, Anupriya Goenka, Rajeev Siddhartha, and Esha Gupta in pivotal roles.
