The year 2023 was a fulfilling one for Bollywood. People thronged cinema halls like never before to watch their favourite celebrities on the big screen. This proved that theatres are here to say, contrary to the belief during the COVID-19 pandemic. While some Bollywood celebrities got married, a few won prestigious awards, and the rest made headlines for various other reasons.

Shah Rukh Khan's roaring comeback
Shah Rukh Khan took a hiatus for almost five years after the debacle of his 2018 film Zero. Cut to 2023, Shah Rukh Khan made a roaring comeback to films with his action-thriller, Pathaan. SRK impressed everyone with his performance in Siddharth Anand's film. After its release, Pathaan became one of the highest-grossing movies of all time. Later, SRK continued his winning streak with the blockbuster hit Jawan, in which he played a dual role. And now he is gearing up for the release of Rajkumar Hirani's Dunki with Taapsee Pannu.
Sidharth Malhotra and Kiara Advani get married
After being in a relationship for a few years, Sidharth Malhotra and Kiara Advani got married in a lavish destination wedding. Until they tied the knot, the couple remained tight-lipped about their love affair. They exchanged vows on February 7, 2023, in Rajasthan. It was a fairytale affair and not surprisingly, their wedding videos went viral on social media.
Triptii Dimri, the new national crush
Triptii Dimri shared screen space with Ranbir Kapoor in Animal. The actress, who played the role of Zoya, shared a couple of intimate scenes with Ranbir in Sandeep Reddy Vanga's film. Upon Animal's theatrical release, Triptii rose to fame and her popularity on social media spiked—to over 3 million followers. Although she had limited screen space in Animal, the actress is expected to have more screen time in the sequel, Animal Park.
Alia Bhatt and Kriti Sanon win National Awards
Alia Bhatt and Kriti Sanon won Best Actress awards for Gangubai Kathiawadi and Mimi, respectively. The actresses shared the National Award, which isn't a common occurance.

Deepika Padukone had viewers in for a shock with her disclosure on Karan Johar's chat show, Koffee With Karan 8. The actress said that she met other people while she was dating Ranveer Singh, since they were not committed to each other. "I did meet other people, but I wasn’t interested or excited by anyone else that I was seeing. In my mind, I was committed to him. So, I would meet other people but at the back of my head, it was like, I am going back to him (Ranveer)," said Deepika on the show. She received a lot of criticism for this statement.

Bollywood actress Parineeti Chopra got married to Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) MP Raghav Chadha on September 24. The couple tied the knot in a lavish ceremony in Udaipur, in the presence of their close friends and family. But her popular cousin, actress Priyanka Chopra Jonas, couldn't make it to the wedding.
Anushka Sharma expecting her second child with Virat Kohli
Anushka Sharma and Virat Kohli were blessed with their first child, baby girl Vamika, on January 11, 2021. Two years later, Anushka made headlines for her second pregnancy. A Hindustan Times report stated that the couple would formally share the good news at a later stage of the actress' pregnancy. "Anushka is expecting her second baby. Like the last time, they will formally share the news with the world at a later stage," a source told the publication.

The actors weren't on good terms for several years after their fallout during the filming of the 1993 film Darr.
