JP Dutta's Border 2 is one of the most awaited upcoming Bollywood movies. The sequel to Sunny Deol-starrer Border will be released in theatres on January 23, 2026. Since the film's announcement, fans have been excitedly waiting for updates on the war drama. The latest update is about actor Paramvir Singh Cheema joining the star-studded cast of Border 2. The cast includes Sunny, Varun Dhawan, Diljit Dosanjh, and Ahan Shetty.

Paramvir Singh Cheema joins Border 2

In an official statement, Paramvir Singh Cheema expressed excitement about joining JP Dutta's Border 2. The actor, who was recently seen in Black Warrant, will make his Bollywood debut with the war drama. 

"I am still in a delusion that all of this is happening. The first thing I did was call my grandmother and say, 'Border 2 cinema dekhan jana hai.’ Experience I am not able to put in words. Just one song keeps running in my head—Sandese Aate Hai!," he said.

For the uninitiated, Paramvir is best known for his performances in OTT projects like Chamak, Black Warrant and more. After impressed everyone with his acting prowess in the webspace, he is ready to embark on a new journey with Border 2. As of now, Cheema is busy shooting a war sequence for the film.

Nidhi Dutta on carrying forward her dad's legacy

Nidhi Dutta, daughter of JP Dutta, recently spoke about carrying forward her dad's legacy with Border 2. In an interview with The Indian Express, Nidhi (co-producer of the film) said, "I wouldn’t use the word pressure, I would call it a responsibility. I think it’s a very big responsibility and a blessing to be able to do this. I am glad that I have the opportunity to tell more stories from the 1971 war and take the franchise forward."
