During the launch of Border 2 song Ghar Kab Aaoge in Jaisalmer, Rajasthan, Varun Dhawan was asked about his views on Operation Sindoor, which was India’s response to the Pahalgham attack. The actor decided to finally speak on the topic and said, "Our country cherishes peace, but it is equally important to produce films like 'Border' that show the youth we have the power to strike back against any threat." The actor was among the few who shared an Instagram story during the time to pay his respects to the martyrs Jawan Murali Naik, BSF SI Md Imteyaz, Gunner Dinesh Sharma, Sepoy Sachin Yadav, Airman Kamal Kamboj, Sepoy Amit Chaudhary, IAF Sergeant Surendra Mogra, and Sepoy Suraj Yadav.

Varun Dhawan wanted to work in a movie like Border

Varun Dhawan insisted that he wanted to work in a movie like Border after watching the 1997 film. Like many, the actor believed in the movie which put forth courage and emotional resolve. At the launch, Varun also stated how he never thought that he would star in the sequel of the very film that once inspired him.
