Bosskey to play a TV show presenter for The Newsmaker

The Newsmaker is directed by the newcomer, Nikesh Bella Narayanan and features Bosskey and Mathew Varghese in lead roles. The movie is about a TV show presenter and it’s channel head who are in constant conflict due to their difference of opinion. The entire movie will be featuring these two characters only and it is set in a TV studio.

According to a report by TOI, Bosskey mentioned that presenting shows was something that he was doing previously that is going to be no different for the upcoming movie except in an English movie. The crew for the movie was limited in number, in order to keep up with the COVID-19 protocols. According to Nikesh, since the movie has only two characters that are played by Bosskey and Mathew Varghese, it was filmed and wrapped up in three days. When asked about the upcoming movie, The Newsmaker the director mentioned that he wanted to make a movie that was a bit different and wanted the movie to have a wider reach, for which he has filmed the movie in English. He had earlier completed a movie-making course in Los Angeles.

Bosskey had previously made brief and comical appearances in several movies like Youth, Sivakasi and Theeya Velai Seiyyanum Kumaru. He is also a Radio Jockey, where he presented several shows on Radio Mirchi, Big FM and Suryan FM.

Mathew Varghese had earlier appeared in movies like Bigil and Mafia: Chapter 1 and had recently appeared in Vijay’s Master.
