A few highly anticipated films, including Bazooka and Barroz, saw their October release dates pushed back for a variety of reasons. For movie buffs, it will not be a dismal month though, as several other films are being released this month.
Director - Amal Neerad
Cast - Kunchacko Boban, Fahadh Faasil, Jyothirmayi and Veena Nandakumar
Ever since the crew and actors of the movie were revealed, Bougainvillaea has been in the limelight. With Fahadh playing a guest part and Sharaf U Dheen supposedly cast as the film's protagonist, Kunchacko is likely to play a role with a negative undertone. Following a protracted hiatus, Jyothirmayi is returning to movies after a hiatus with this film.
Director - Shanavas K Bavakutty
Cast - Hakkim Shajahan, Priyamvada Krishnan, and Poornima Indrajith
Based on the teaser and trailer, Poornima Indrajith's character seems fixated with a cot, on which she claims she slept with her spouse for seven months. Furthermore, Priyamvada's character may be seen renting Poornima's house, while Hakkim Shajahan plays a taxi driver. Overall, it appears to be an engaging tale with a few impressive performances.

Pathimoonnam Rathri looks to be a suspenseful thriller that delves into the darker sides of human nature. The trailer describes how, on New Year's Eve, a few unrelated people meet in Kochi and set off on a series of events that transform their lives. There seems to be a tensed atmosphere in the film.
