Box office - Aa Okkati Adakku, Sabari, and Prasanna Vadanam start on a dull note

Every week, there are a plethora of releases in Telugu cinema, and May 3, 2024, was no different as not one but three films were released. Aa Okkati Adakku, Sabari, and Prasanna Vadanam are the ones that hit the screens, and sadly, none of the films have clicked at the box office.

Aa Okkati Adakku is the best of the lost, as it made 1.5 crore gross on the day in Telugu states. The rest of the films, Sabari and Prasanna Vadanam did not see any occupancy. One of the trade pundits spoke to us and said that none of the films impressed the audience, and the theaters across the Telugu states are shockingly empty.

Also, the IPL and election fever in AP are yet another factor in these films' failure at the box office. Aa Okkati Adakku had Allari Naresh in a lead role, and he made a comeback to the comedy genre after a very long gap. Faria Abdullah played the female lead in this film, which created a decent buzz with its promos.

But the shoddy narration went against the film. Sabari was also special as it marked Varalaxmi Sarathkumar playing the female lead for the first time in her career. The film started with a bad talk on day one itself. In all this, the Suhas starrer, Prasanna Vadanam, was the film which opened to a very good talk.

But the fact of the matter is that the film did not see any occupancy at the box office. We need to see how this film works at the box office over the weekend. The summer season is at its peak, and generally, some big Telugu films get released but that did not happen.

The entire summer season will not see any releases, and this is a very sad state to see. A few producers felt that the audience was in no mood to watch the film as election fever is in full swing in AP. Let's see what happens in the days to come.
