Bollywood actor Vicky Kaushal has definitely come a long way. From making his debut with ‘Masaan’ (which was directed by Neeraj Ghaywan) to climbing his way up the success ladder to reach the position where he has reached today, Vicky has definitely been there and done that. In an industry where actors are gauged and known by their box office numbers, Vicky Kaushal seems to be one exception. By his own admission, he, in an interview, said that everyone has gotten into the ecosystem, which is just numbers!

In a recent interview on Pinkvilla Masterclass, he revealed that it’s not the ‘accounts waala’, but the ‘box office waala numbers’ that he loves. When he was asked whether he kept track of the box office numbers, he replied that even if a person wants or does not want, those numbers are thrown at them. One gets to know the public response to the film much later, but initially it’s all about box office collections, advance bookings and the like. He then very beautifully summed it up by saying that everyone has gotten into the ecosystem, which is all about numbers.

He added that, at the end of the day, a producer puts an ‘X’ amount of money and that he would like to believe that the film earned him more; something that makes him happy seeing that it was happening.

On the professional front, Vicky Kaushal will now be seen in Meghna Gulzar’s most talked-about film, ‘Sam Bahadur’, which is a biopic on Sam Manekshaw, India's first Field Marshal. Besides Vicky Kaushal, the film also stars Sanya Malhotra, Fatima Sana Shaikh, Neeraj Kabi, Edward Sonnenblick, Govind Namdev and Mohammed Zeeshan Ayyub in important roles. The film has been scheduled to be released in theatres on December 1.
