Post the Covid scare, a number of films are coming out one after the other and in Telugu, there are two or three releases each week and the same happened this Friday on the 3rd of February. Sundeep Kishan's Michael, Arjun Das, Butta Bomma and Megha Akash's Prema Deam were released in both the Telugu states.

So much was said about Sundeep Kishan's Michael as it was a multistarrer but sadly, the film has failed to take off at the box office. The reviews are poor and the word of mouth is also not encouraging. Due to this, the film has been removed from several theaters and more screens were given to Suhas's Writer Padmabhushan which won glowing reviews and strong word of mouth.

Butta Bomma is finding some audience in a few metros like Hyderabad and Vijayawada. Prema Desam has been a washout but Writer Padmabhushan is growing strong with each passing day. Shanmukha Prashanth has directed this family drama which is about a struggling writer played by Suhas. Chai Bisket Films and Lahari Films produced this movie on a very low budget.

On the other hand, Sundeep Kishan did well with his performance but the likes of Vijay Sethupathi, Varalakshmi Sarath Kumar and Gautam Menon failed to help the film from going down. Ranjith Jayakodi directed this film which also has Varun Sandesh in a negative role.
