Ram Pothineni, who starred in the first Tamil-Telugu bilingual of his career The Warriorr last year, is leaving no stone unturned to bounce back with a bang in his upcoming project. He’s joining forces with Akhanda, Bhadra director Boyapati Srinu for a pan-Indian action entertainer. Srinivasaa Chitturi of Srinivasaa Silver Screen (producers of Custody) is bankrolling the film on a huge canvas.

Sreeleela is playing the female lead in the much-anticipated actioner that will reportedly feature Urvashi Rautela in a special number. Ahead of Ram’s birthday next Monday, Sri Sravanthi Movies announced that the actor’s comedy Ready, directed by Sreenu Vaitla, will be re-releasing in theatres in Telugu states on May 14. That’s not all, there will be another surprise for the star’s fans on his birthday.

In a media interaction while promoting Custody in Hyderabad today, producer Srinvasaa Chitturi revealed that the first glimpse/teaser of the Ram Pothineni-Boyapati project will be out on May 15. The glimpse will be launched without the title, he confirmed. “The shooting is progressing at a brisk pace continuously. We’ll launch the film’s teaser for Ram’s birthday,” the producer shared.

S Thaman is teaming up with Boyapati Srinu again after Akhanda for the music. Tammiraju is the editor while Santosh Detake cranks the camera. The film will release in Hindi and all South Indian languages on October 20, the makers confirmed recently. The same banner had also backed Ram’s previous film The Warriorr, written and directed by N Lingusamy, a box office failure.

The Ready star has reportedly signed a film with Puri Jagannadh again for the sequel to iSmart Shankar, though neither the actor nor the director has confirmed the news. While promoting the Telugu version of Vendhu Thanindadhu Kadu last year, Gautham Menon revealed he and Ram were in talks for a project under Sri Sravanthi Movies.
