BoyapatiRAPO release date advanced: Boyapati Sreenu, Ram Pothineni’s actioner will now hit screens on…

In a season of many release date postponements in Telugu cinema, we have a surprise advancement. BoyapatiRAPO, director Boyapati Sreenu’s action entertainer headlined by Ram Pothineni, will not be landing in theatres on October 20. Today, the makers announced that the film will arrive a month earlier in five languages - Telugu, Tamil, Kannada, Hindi and Malayalam.

“Massive Energy Striking Early in Theatres. #BoyapatiRAPO Worldwide Release on SEP 15th in Telugu,Tamil, Kannada, Malayalam & Hindi. #BoyapatiRAPOonSep15,” the production house Srinivasaa Silver Screen confirmed on social media. Sreeleela plays the female lead in the film which has music by S Thaman. Zee Studios South, Pavan Kumar present the project.

In the new poster shared by the makers, Ram, dressed in a white shirt and dhoti, is seated amidst the fields. A recent schedule of the film was shot featuring the lead cast in Mysuru. M Rathnam has written the dialogues of the untitled film for which Santosh Detake cranks the camera. AS Prakash is the art director and Tammiraju is the editor.

By advancing its release date, the film is avoiding a possible clash with Balakrishna’s Bhagavanth Kesari and Ravi Teja’s Tiger Nageswara Rao. Even in September, BoyapatiRAPO is surrounded by a series of biggies including Vijay Deverakonda-Samantha starrer Kushi (September 1), Shah Rukh Khan’s Jawan (September 7), Tillu Square (Sepetember 15), Salaar (September 28).

After this project, Ram Pothineni will move onto the sets of Double iSmart Shankar, the sequel to iSmart Shankar, to be directed by Puri Jagannadh. The film is expected to release in the first half of 2024. Sreeleela, the female lead of BoyapatiRAPO, is simultaneously working over a flurry of projects - Ustaad Bhagat Singh, Aadi Keshava, Bhagavanth Kesari, VD12, Guntur Kaaram and Nithiin’s untitled film.
