Boyfriend For Hire trailer: A socially awkward Viswant Duddumpudi attempts to understand women better

Viswant Duddumpudi, who shot to fame with Kerintha and Manamantha in the past, is back in another rom-com titled Boyfriend For Hire. Malavika Satheesan plays the female lead in the film directed by Santosh Kambhampati. Produced by Venu Madhav Peddi and K Niranjan Reddy under Swastika Cinema and Prime Show Entertainment, the film hits screens on October 14.

Ahead of its release, the theatrical trailer was launched today. The film revolves around a socially awkward youngster who doesn’t know to initiate conversations with women. He’s affected by their presence and gets too finicky when they’re around. He even tells his startled parents that he has no interest to marry a woman - a typical homophobic response greets viewers later.

However, the tables turn overnight and he’s keener than ever to understand women better. He craves for experiences with them and that’s when things get tricky. He goes onto start a business - Boyfriend for Hire - for acting as someone else’s boyfriend. He eventually meets a girl, played by Malavika Satheesan, who is charmed by his personality. He mysteriously ties a girl to a chair soon.

How will Viswant clear up this mess and where do the dots connect? Watch out for the film to know more. Pooja Ramachandran, Madhunandan, Raja Ravindra, Harshavardhan, Sivanarayana (Appaji), Rupa Laxmi, Nellore Sudarshan too play supporting roles in the film. Viswant’s enthusiasm, screen-presence is matched by Malavika’s effervescence, hinting at a wacky, entertaining rom-com.

Gopi Sundar scores the music. Bala Saraswathi cranks the camera while Vijay Vardhan is the editor. Asrin Reddy is the executive producer. The film’s shoot began earlier this year and was wrapped up recently. Malavika Satheesan also plays the female lead in Siva Nageswara Rao’s Dochevaarevarura. Viswant’s last release was the critically acclaimed, much-loved comedy O Pitta Katha.
