Good actors don't really need to depend on screen-time for making a mark in a film and this has been proved umpteen number of times in the 8-decade history of Telugu cinema. Legendary Telugu comedian Brahmanandam has regaled us for over four decades now but he's been out of action over the last few years owing to a few issues. His comeback with films like Jathi Ratnalu, Bheemla Nayak is exactly the tonic his fans needed after his brief sabbatical.
After the comedian had announced a few weeks ago that he would have a brief role in Bheemla Nayak, audiences were curious to watch him on the big screen this Friday. It was easy to get restless at the screening of Bheemla Nayak when one couldn't spot Brahmanandam for over two hours. However, Saagar K Chandra, Trivikram and team reserved their best for the climax. Just like Jathi Ratnalu, he's cast as a judge (named Anand) again. This time he wasn't seen in a courtroom but his office cabin.
The idea of bringing in Brahmanandam for the climax scene works very well because it's a near comical situation where it's obvious (Daniel Shekar) Rana Daggubati is lying to him in a desperate bid to end to his tussle with (Bheemla Nayak) Pawan Kalyan. "With all the experience I have as a judge, do I look a fool to believe you?" he sarcastically asks to which Rana replies that the former doesn't have much of a choice.
Crowds are erupting in joy with the very presence of Brahmanandam in the scene of Bheemla Nayak and it proves the wonders that good casting can do. His next release is an anthology Panchathantram where's playing the role of Vedavyas.
