Brahmastra 2 to roll after War 2 - Ranbir Kapoor makes the biggest revelation of the week; Check out!

While Bollywood currently has a long list of sequels lined up for release, one of the most anticipated among them is the ambitious Brahmastra 2. The film, which follows the first installment starring Ranbir Kapoor and Alia Bhatt, has been eagerly awaited by fans across the country. Brahmastra: Part One – Shiva hit the big screen in 2022, and ever since, audiences have been waiting for the second part to go on floors. However, there have been little to no updates about its progress—until now. Turns out, Ranbir Kapoor has finally opened up about the movie’s timeline. Read on for everything you need to know.

Ranbir Kapoor Offers Update on Brahmastra 2

Brahmastra: Part One – Shiva, starring Alia Bhatt, Ranbir Kapoor, and Amitabh Bachchan, was the first part of a planned trilogy, written and directed by Ayan Mukerji and backed by Karan Johar’s Dharma Productions. During an informal media meet-and-greet, Ranbir Kapoor finally revealed when work on Brahmastra: Part Two – Dev is set to begin. Kapoor shared that Ayan Mukerji is currently busy working on War 2, and once the Hrithik Roshan starrer releases, he will begin pre-production on Brahmastra 2. Discussing Brahmastra: Part Two – Dev, Ranbir said, "Brahmastra 2 is something that Ayan has been nurturing as a dream for a very long time—the entire story of Brahmastra. As you guys know, he is currently working on War 2. Once the film releases, he is going to start pre-production on Brahmastra 2."

Ranbir further confirmed that Brahmastra 2 is very much happening:
"It is definitely happening. We haven’t really announced much about it yet, but we will have some interesting announcements regarding Brahmastra 2 soon." While the actor didn’t reveal further details, this update is enough to keep fans excited for what’s to come.

War 2 Update

In case you missed it, a few months ago, reports surfaced that War 2 will feature a dance face-off between Jr. NTR and Hrithik Roshan. This news immediately sparked excitement, as both actors are known for their incredible dancing skills—one of whom even won an Oscar for his song Naatu Naatu from RRR. However, as per the latest update, Hrithik Roshan has suffered a leg injury while rehearsing for the dance sequence, causing the shoot for the song to be pushed to May.

A source told Bollywood Hungama, "Hrithik really pushed himself during rehearsals for this energetic song with NTR Jr. for War 2. He developed a niggle in his leg that became quite uncomfortable. When doctors examined his injury, they advised him to avoid any further strain and rest before shooting this massive song!"

The source further added, "The mega War 2 dance-off song featuring Hrithik and NTR Jr. will now be shot in May. All the principal actors have completed their respective shoots, and the film is already in post-production. This minor setback won’t affect the film’s promotional or marketing plans. War 2 is still set for a theatrical release worldwide on August 14, 2025!"
