Despite all the controversy and unwarranted negativity around the release of Brahmastra, the Ranbir Kapoor - Alia Bhatt starrer has emerged victorious at the box office. Having opened to mixed reviews from both the audience and film critics, Brahmastra's initial commercial performance saw the film live up to expectations but also remain on thin ice. While the looming 'Boycott' culture threatened to affect the numbers, the objective merit of the film too became a significant contributor to the overall box office run.
However, it would seem that all is quite well in the Brahmastra camp as the Ayan Mukerji directorial puts up a superb show on the second Saturday of its theatrical run. According to the latest trade reports, Brahmastra has managed to collect close to Rs. 15.4 crores on Day #10 or the second Saturday with the Hindi & original version of the run proving to be the biggest chunk of the pie.

The second Saturday for Brahmastra (Hindi) fetched Rs. 14.7 crores at the domestic box office to take the total tally close to Rs. 180 crores. With the film being a pan-Indian release of a kind, the Telugu and Tamil versions too have fared credibly and earned Rs. 13.1 crores and Rs. 3.68 crores (as per sacnilk.com) respectively to the makers.
With the second Sunday *September 18) estimates looking even better and trade reports suggesting that Brahmastra will collect close to Rs. 17 crores on the day, the film is sure to cross the amazing Rs. 200 crores mark by the end of the second weekend. All the figures mentioned above are the nett figures.
As far as the overseas figures are concerned, reports have suggested that Brahmastra is the first-ever Bollywood film to cross the $10 million mark post-Covid. This puts the film quite close to the Rs. 350 crore mark (in gross figures) by the end of the second weekend to make it a bona fide success.
Written and Directed by Ayan Mukerji, Brahmastra: Part One - Shiva also stars Amitabh Bachchan, Akkineni Nagarjuna, Mouni Roy, and Saurav Gurjar with Shah Rukh Khan and Deepika Padukone making special appearances in the film.
