Karan Johar’s Brahmastra is the latest addition to Bollywood from Dharma Productions and Fox Star Studios, which features a stellar cast including Ranbir Kapoor, Alia Bhatt and Amitabh Bachchan. It was reported earlier that the producers approached the insurance companies with five large claims amounting to over Rs 50 crore. But now, Karan Johar has reacted to the claims as “NOT TRUE AT ALL”, and denied it completely, according to SpotBoyE. There were also reports earlier stating that the production is insured for over Rs 400 crore, which could be the total cost of the movie.
Brahmastra has faced a lot of trouble with insurance claims, while few production houses were able to claim insurance during the pandemic days. It is also reported that one of the insurance claims was over the unexpected delay due to Alia Bhatt’s ill-health in 2019. However, Karan Johar has now denied it in bold letters.
Helmed by Ayan Mukherji, the movie features Ranbir as Shiva, who has superpowers, while Alia plays his co-star Isha. The movie has also been hailed as the first superhero trilogy in Bollywood. The locations are set across Bulgaria, Scotland, London and New York, and the movie also features Bollywood’s Big B Amitabh Bachchan in pivotal roles with other stars including Shah Rukh Khan and Nagarjuna making special appearances.
