Brahmastra: Release date of part 1 of trilogy starring Alia Bhat, Ranbir Kapoor is out and we cannot keep calm!

Fans got their dose of mid-week motivation when the makers released the motion poster of the film Brahmastra with the big announcement. Yes, you guessed it right. The makers have finally announced the release date of the movie starring Alia Bhat, Ranbir Kapoor, Amitabh Bachchan, Nagarjuna and Mouni Roy.

The poster of part one of the trilogy has Ranbir Kapoor, looking stunningly intense with a trishul and Lord Shiva in the background. The powerful image was shared by the cast and crew. Filmmaker Karan Johar, who is producing the Ayan Mukerji directorial, shared the image and captioned it: ‘Bow down to the fire that's Shiva! 🙌🔥 Brahmāstra Part One: Shiva - Releases in Cinemas on 09.09.2022" (sic) 

The film will see Ranbir as a new-age Shiva, who is born with special powers and is guided by his guru, played by Amitabh Bachchan. Alia Bhatt will also be seen in a lead role in the film, which has been in the making for four years. Mouni Roy plays the role of an antagonist and Nagarjuna will also be seen in a prominent role. 

Producer of the film, Karan Johar had earlier shared his thoughts about the release of the movie in a social media post. Sharing the experience of working on the film, he said Brahmastra is more than just a motion picture. The team have invested a lot of time in it. "It’s been a 7 year journey for Ayan from conception to visualisation and I have yet to witness a more passionate man than him… I go back to his innocent narration of #wakeupsid and I remember feeling so protective about him … I never imagined that he just like his debut film would so cinematically come of age,” he had further written. 

The film is set to bring an unimaginable universe to the audience and we can't wait to watch it either. Meanwhile, we can only count days and wish for months to pass quickly so that we can experience the film on its release date without any more possible delays, on September 9, 2022.
