The sequel to Ayan Mukerji's Brahmastra, in which Ranbir Kapoor and Alia Bhatt play the lead roles, is backed by Disney. Sources say that Disney has started the process of setting aside a budget for a sequel to the movie. A source says that Disney, Ayan, and the rest of the main cast are all very excited about starting a domestic franchise. After giving Ayan Mukherjee's idea for a sequel the go-ahead, Disney is now working with Karan Johar's Dharma Productions to figure out how much the budget should be for the movie.
The second part of Brahmastra will be set all over the world. Top companies from all over the world will work together to create a unique set of visuals. It has been revealed that while the first part was modern, the second part intends to take a deep dive into the realm of Indian mythology. Ayan seeks to introduce ‘Dev’, a force that will exist along with Shiva and Isha. The scripting has commenced.
For the second instalment of the movie, Deepika Padukone, Alia Bhatt, and Ranbir Kapoor are going to be the film's executive producers. The actor chosen to step into the role of Dev is still under consideration, according to the source. They appear to have a plethora of options under their belt.
