Kesariya from Brahmastra seemed to have gotten quite a groovy makeover in the form of Kesariya (Dance Mix). The new version of the song was quite a step away from the slow, romantic ballad that viewers were treated to in the film. Director Ayan Mukerji, who has always been candid when it came to his magnum opus, had revealed that the dance mix was initially supposed to be a part of the film. But the filmmaker had decided that a more romantic track would be better suited for the film, and had reshot the song. In a special treat for fans, the director unveiled the full version of the original song recently, and fans definitely had a lot to say about it.

A lot of users were unapologetic about how much they loved the new version. “#KesariyaDanceMix is absolute banger, hated it on first few listens now fully into , immense marketing , they’re just not letting the hype die for this movie”, wrote one user.

One of the things that most viewers loved about the new version of the song was Ranbir Kapoor’s incredible dance moves. “Kesariya dance mix established Ranbir as a dancer. #KesariyaDanceMix” wrote one user.

However, despite a lot of netizens loving the song, many agreed that Ayan had taken the right decision by scrapping the dance mix version and including a more romantic version of the track. “Thank god #KesariyaDanceMix didn’t make into the movie & ayan recommended to make soothing version of it. #Bramhastra”, wrote one user.

There were also a few users who were not that impressed with the dance mix version of Kesariya. “@karanjohar was so right in scrapping the #kesariya song by #ayanmukerji @AyanMukerjiFC coz if its this #KesariyaDanceMix we are glad it wasn’t part of #Brahmastra why are dancing in fast forward?”(sic).

Brahmāstra: Part One – Shiva, which starred Ranbir, Alia Bhatt, Mouni Roy, Amitabh Bachchan and Nagarjuna Akkineni, was released in theatres on September 9.
