Brahmastra's director-actor duo, Ayan Mukerji and Ranbir Kapoor, have touched down in Vishakhapatnam for the promotion of their forthcoming film, Brahmastra Part One: Shiva. The duo is joined by noted filmmaker SS Rajamouli. Both Ranbir and Ayan were clicked at the Mumbai airport while making their way to Vizag. Now, a few photos and videos have made it to the Internet where the three of them are welcomed to the city with huge garlands.

While making the announcement, the official Instagram page of Brahmastra wrote, "Team Brahmastra in Vizag today, announcing something very special. Stay tuned! #Brahmastra."

Well, like fans, we can't wait to know what the special announcement is.

Shiva is a fantasy adventure film directed by Ayan Mukerji and produced by Karan Johar. Amitabh Bachchan, Ranbir Kapoor, Alia Bhatt, Mouni Roy, and Nagarjuna Akkineni are among the cast members. The movie is supposed to be the first in a planned trilogy.

In an interview, Ranbir said that Ayan has dedicated six years of his life to creating an original plot, that the trilogy would be completed in ten years, and that rumours that it would be a romantic superhero film have been debunked. Instead, the actor stated that the film is a romantic-fairytale in a supernatural framework, adding that it doesn't have any truth to it, or is unbelievable.

Earlier, Ayan claimed that actor Ranbir's character was influenced by Rumi, who also inspired his character's first appearance. To develop the foundation of the picture, the director drew inspiration from Rumi's work: love is the bridge between you and everything. Later, Ayan announced that the Rumi-inspired appearance had been ditched in favour of a haircut for Kapoor.

Ranbir shared his experience with the film's look tests, saying that it's a time-consuming process of sticking, removing, applying, de-applying, and applying again till a choice is reached.

Brahmastra Part One: Shiva is slated to be released on September 9, 2022.
