Bramayugam, the highly anticipated period horror thriller finally hit the big screens on February 15, 2024, Thursday. The movie, which features megastar Mammootty in the lead role, is helmed by the talented filmmaker Rahul Sadasivan. Arjun Ashokan and Sidharth Bharathan played key roles in Bramayugam, which has had an extraordinary beginning at the box office.

As per the reports, the movie, which has been made in the black-and-white format, is now set to touch the Rs. 15 crore mark at the worldwide box office very soon. Interestingly, the movie has performed extremely well at the overseas box office. Especially, the UAE collections of Bramayugam have surpassed the Kerala collections of the film.

According to the trade experts, Bramayugam has now crossed the Rs. 10 crore mark at the Kerala box office, within the first two days of its release. For the uninitiated, the Mammootty starrer made a total opening collection of around Rs. 7.68 crore on Day 1, worldwide. It is unarguably an excellent box office for the experimental film which has been made in the not-so-common black-and-white format. The movie made around Rs. 3.5 crore from the Kerala box office, and Rs. 3.32 crore from the UAE box office, on its release day.

Bramayugam reportedly made over Rs. 3 crore from the Kerala box office alone on its second day of release. As per the reports, the Mammootty starrer performed even better at the UAE and GCC box office on Day two and has made an overseas collection of around Rs. 3.5 crore. In that case, it is safe to conclude that the Rahul Sadasivan directorial might have already touched the Rs. 15 crore mark or is about to do the same soon. A detailed collection breakdown is expected to be out very soon.

Bramayugam gets extra shows across the world

Interestingly, Bramayugam has been getting a massive number of additional shows in Kerala, major Indian cities, and all prominent overseas centers including UAE and the UK, thanks to the excellent reviews and word-of-mouth publicity. In that case, the period horror thriller has all the chances to enter the Rs. 25 crore club of Malayalam cinema just within the first weekend of its release.
