Another riveting mystery thriller is all set to make its way to OTT. Brazen is an upcoming thriller film and is an adaptation of the 1988 novel Brazen Virtue, written by Nora Roberts. It follows the story of a young writer who gets involved in a murder investigation. The film will hit the digital platform in January.
What is Brazen about?
Brazen is based on Nora Roberts’ mystery novel Brazen Virtue, which was first published in 1988. The film follows the story of Grace Miller, a mystery novelist, who finds herself thrust into a world resembling those of the books she writes when she finds her sister brutally murdered. In the course of the investigation that follows, she realises that her sister isn't all she appeared to be, and was keeping some shocking secrets.
As the authorities discover a serial killer to be behind the murder, Miller decides to take matters into her own hands and track the murderer down, before he strikes again. Her involvement in the case also leads her to become close with one of the investigation officers, Ed, and romance ensues.
The film also features a nod to Roberts as well, by showing the original Brazen Virtue novel as one of the books written by Miller, which she is shown reading to an audience in the film’s first trailer.
Who are the cast and crew of Brazen?
Alyssa Milano stars as the film’s lead, essaying the role of Miller. She shares the screen with Sam Page, Malachi Weir, Barry W. Levy, Colleen Wheeler, Lossen Chambers and Matthew Finlan.
The upcoming film is directed by Monika Mitchell based on a script, written by Edithe Swensen, Donald Martin and Suzette Couture.
When and where to watch Brazen?
Brazen will be available to stream exclusively on Netflix from January 13, 2022.
