Breathe: Into the Shadows season 2 returned to continue the saga of Abhishek Bachchan’s Avinash/J. Among the returning characters were Amit Sadh’s Kabir Sawant, the no nonsense police inspector who is tasked with getting to the bottom of the string of gruesome murders that J commits. Amit recently opened up about his experience of essaying the role since the inception of the show.

In a statement, Amit spoke of how he had lived with the character for quite some time, and thus did not have to revisit the series when they started filming for the second season. “But I did live with Kabir for a long time, for 6 years. It did not leave me, until I think this season ended”, he revealed.

The actor went on to talk about how the filming for the different seasons of the show took place at various stages of his life. When he was busy with season 1, he was not even aware that there was going to be another season of the show as well. The fact that the show reached the stage it was in at present also came as a surprise to Amit.

He had nothing but good things to say of his director, Mayank Sharma. Thanking the director for the chance to ‘shine’ as Kabir, Amit credited the director for giving him the freedom to explore as an actor. Benign given that much freedom had helped Amit in shedding the fear and hesitation he ahd within him, which helped him become a ‘good Kabir’.

In addition to Abhishek and Amit, the series also featured Nithya Menen, Naveen Kasturia, Saiyami Kher, and Ivana Kaur in prominent roles. Mayank has directed the series and written its script along with Arshad Syed, Vikram Tuli, Priya Saggi and Abhijeet Deshpande.

Breathe: Into the Shadows season 2 is available for streaming on Amazon Prime Video.
