Breathe Into the Shadows season 2 actor Abhishek Bachchan claims the show portrays mental health in the right light

Breathe: Into the Shadows season 2 starring Abhishek Bachchan and Nithya Menen is finally out to stream on Amazon Prime Video. The plot of the crime-thriller show focuses a lot on mental health.

The makers have allegedly received criticism on how the series is stigmatising mental health, while in a recent interview with Indian Express, Bachchan addressed the issue and claimed that the show ensures a sensitive approach towards it as four-five doctors were involved in the process.

The actor shared that it's not fair and he completely disagrees with the notion that Breathe Into the Shadows stigmatises mental health. "People who have said that have no idea what they are talking about. There were four-five doctors that worked on the script, Mayank’s brother-in-law is a psychiatrist who works particularly on this disorder. That is of paramount importance to us, to be sensitive to mental health, especially to people with similar disorders," Bachchan told the portal.

He further added that it is just a part of the plot as well as the character as it's not there to sensitize viewers.
