The second season was long-awaited by fans who were fawning over the electric chemistry between lead actors Regé-Jean Page (Duke of Hastings) and Phoebe Dynevor (Daphne Bridgerton) in the first instalment. Season 1 was viewed for 625.5 million hours in the first 28 days of its release on December 25, 2020.
Season 2 is based on the second novel in Julia Quinn’s Regency-era romance series of the same name and follows the Bridgerton family's eldest, Anthony's search for a suitable bride. This search becomes complicated when he's betrothed to Edwina Sharma (Charithra Chandran) and realises he has strong feelings for her elder sister Kate (Simone Ashley).
Following the mass popularity and appeal of the show's two seasons, Netflix has already renewed it for a third and fourth season.
