Bridgerton Season 3 photos- New pics reveal if the Peneloise ship will ever sail again

Audience-favorite Bridgerton has gifted fans with a sweet Christmas gift this year, a new set of photos from Season 3, which as usual, leads to the formulation of several fan theories and some actually good ones. The photos offer a lovely peek into the third season, without any spoilers. However, one exclusive photo from EW features an update on the fate of Peneloise, the much-missed friend-ship.

The end of season 2 saw several positive as well as negative resolutions for the Bridgerton siblings, the Sharmas, as well as the Featheringtons. While Kate and Anthony get married, after a torrid love affair, Eloise suffers several losses, including her friendship with Penelope and her crush on Theo.

The Featherington matriarch saves the family from utter ruin, while Penelope overhears Colin make some rude, careless comments about her and has her heart broken. But one of the most tragic climaxes was the fight between Penelope and Eloise, regarding the former’s secret, powerful persona.

The season 3 photos tease the plot and feature the now-more matured Bridgerton younger siblings, but also affirm the exit of Phoebe Dynevor’s Daphne from the show. Thankfully, the Bridgerton scion and his firecracker wife Kate are there with their steamy onscreen chemistry to make up for it.

Viewers will also see the first official look reveal of the elusive Bridgerton sibling, Francesca, which is now essayed by Hannah Dodd. But even more than watching Polin (the official ship name given to Colin and Penelope’s relationship), the fans were relieved to see Peneloise’s complicated history get an update.

The photo showed an apologetic and hopeful Penelope having a conversation with Eloise, who looked slightly mollified, though not fully forgiving yet. This has given ample hope to fans, who were worried if the headstrong characters might talk anytime soon, as according to the Julia Quinn novel it is based on, Eloise had never been mad at her friend’s secret and when enlightened by the info, she took it well and was proud of her best friend’s achievement.

Since the fight was not in lieu of the books, the palpable tension of the book fans is understandable. Bridgerton Season 3 will be premiered in two parts, with the first four episodes dropping on May 16, and the next four on June 13.
