After making us fall in love with his role as the Duke of Hastings in Netflix's original series Bridgerton, Regé-Jean Page has now bagged a role in Russo Brothers' ambitious directorial The Gray Man. Along with Page, the star-studded ensemble cast features popular actors Ryan Gosling, Chris Evans and DeObia Oparei.
"It's been incredible," the actor shared his excitement about joining The Grey Man team in an interview with Variety. “It’s just so much fun when you're working with folks who are not just at the top of their game but reinventing the game. It's like a whole new machine," the Bridgerton star added.
Surprisingly, it was Page's stint in Bridgerton that first introduced the talented actor to director duo Joe Russo and Anthony Russo. After the blockbuster debut of the Netflix Original series, a meeting was shortly set up between Page and the Russo brothers, finalising him for the role in their upcoming movie.
Talking about Page's character in the film, Anthony predicted that the audiences will see a fresh new side of the actor. He further added that Regé, Chris and Ryan's roles in the film are very different from what the audiences have witnessed from them before.
Anthony expressed that he and Joe "like actors who are willing to continually reinvent themselves, and push themselves into new places." Adding to it Anthony praised Page as "an incredibly talented actor, and he can move in a lot of different directions as a performer."
The Gray Man will focus on physicality with a new perspective requiring the actors a huge amount of physical preparation to play well-trained CIA operatives.
As for Page's stint in Bridgerton, the actor won't be returning for a second season. However, you can still catch a glimpse of the talented actor in the first season, available to stream on Netflix.
